Why is it always raining wherever you are? We don't have the answer to that, but at least with this coat you're always well prepared. It doesn't just make sure that you stay nice and dry during the next downpour, but it was also designed, developed and produced to have minimal effects on the environment. The SYMPATEX® material, waterproof up to 45,000 mm, is made of recycled polyster so the coat is free from toxic materials such as PFC, PTFEs and PFOAs as well as being bluesign certified. Due to the purity of the material, this coat is also recyclable once you've finished with it. Three pockets make sure you have enough space for your mobile phone, spare change and a packet of tissues. The adjustable waistband, sleeves and hood ensure you'll be well protected against the wind and storms. Thanks to the recycled mesh lining, this coat is also super light and easy to pack up.
Recycled and produced with carbon offset: we're proud to be one of the first sportwear and streetwear brands to offer completely carbon neutral manufactured functional coats, together with the membrane producer SYMPATEX® and the climate change advisers ClimatePartner.
How does carbon offset production work?
Despite our choice of environmentally conscious materials and partners, greenhouse gases are inevitably released during the production process. In order to make CO2 emissions as low as possible, bleed uses only recycled or biodegradable fabrics to produce its collections, considers water consumption, and only uses power from renewable energy sources.
The SYMPATEX® Rain Shell Coat is produced in China, so transportation routes are longer. So we wanted to go a step further: together with SYMPATEX® and ClimatePartner, we calculated the environmental footprint produced by manufacturing the coat and balanced it out again by supporting an important forest conservation project in Kenya.
